What Have We Been Up To?

So... Over the last few weeks, Grace and I have been pretty busy. Take a look at all the stuff we did!!

1. We watched Anne of Green Gables with Kasey, Stephanie, and Melina!! (It's a whole 11 hours of family enjoyment!! )

2. We went to Up Late at State and got some pretty nifty free stuff!

**We got 2 free t-shirts, a jersey, snapbacks, bracelets, bobble heads, etc.

** We had a photoshoot with our new Snapbacks. (Yes, we most definitely look super cool)




3. We played our first volleyball game and won!!! (Go Itsy Bitsy Spikers!)



4. We played Mafia for 4 hours straight----both Friday AND Saturday!!

5. We had an impromptu photoshoot with the lovely Alyssa!!

6. We almost got attacked by a killer bunny on our way to the dining center....

7. We did Laundry together

8. And.... we went to STLF, watched Dance Moms, and of course had a TON of Fun!! :)

20 Ways To Know If You Have A Good Roommate

So... getting along with your roommate is one of the biggest concerns that many incoming college students have. However, if you just be yourself, not let small things get on your nerve, be polite, and try to keep clean, you probably don't have to worry too much. Here are some reasons that Grace and I know that we are most likely the awesomest roommates ever!

You know you have a good roommate if:

1. They spend almost 20 hours each day with you and don't get tired of it.
2. They wash your hair for you when you're sick.
3. They have dance parties with you in the hallways.
4. They will still hold your hand even though you have palmar hyperhidrosis
5. When you drop all of your dinner onto your lap, your roommate will laugh only a little and then proceed to help you clean it up.
6. They constantly catch you playing Neopets, but still talk to you
7. They stand on chairs and sing The Sound of Music with you
8. You sneeze at 7:30 in the morning waking them up, but they still say "Bless You"
9. They accept your obsession with Disney and unicorns
10. They hold your hand while you're ice skating so that you won't fall
11. They're always up for an impromptu photoshoot
12. They'll let you borrow some of their clothes.
13. They understand your sarcasm even when everyone else thinks you're being mean.
14. They'll crochet with you until 2 in the morning
15. They go to zumba with you and don't laugh at your inability to wobble
16. They accept your hobby of creeping, and will even help you out at times.
17. They will be forever alone with you (and all of your cats)
18. They enjoy being your personal hairstylist.
19. You can never run out of things to talk to them about
20. You can easily call them one of your best friends.

Hey Everyone!! Welcome to our blog! This blog (Livin' The Penthouse Life), is devoted to telling the world about me and my roommates's daily adventures. Grace and I (Alexa) are freshmen at Illinois State University and we live in Manchester 17 (the coolest floor in all of Illinois State).
